North Carolina Hotel Recomendation???

TS,

I will be traveling south to Savannah, GA and am looking to stop somewhere in NC on the coast for the night. I cant seem to find anything nice in the Wilmington area --- am i missing something? Is there a cool spot on the coast/beach that any of you would recomend?

Thanks so much.

Jon, when I went down to Georgia earlier this year I stopped over in Charlotte and stayed at the Ballantyne. Really nice hotel that sits on its own 18 hole golf course.

if you can do the extra 3 hours, go to Charleston if you've never been - beautiful beautiful city. eat at Husk - you won't be disappointed.

Chuck - that was one thought - but its sooo close to Savannah (our final stop) it almost doesnt make sense to stop. Have you been to HUSK? Will i be able to get a table?
