POV from the Yacht,

One could get his fix of Italian espresso prior to the action

Ferrari team person day dreaming after they lost

At the MonteCarlo bay waiting for the Tender to the yacht

In MonteCarlo you can slide off your yacht or jump

Beautiful Super Yachts

Great Looking boat

Sunseeker Predator like the Yacht in 007

QUICK pic via Sony RX100, you guys should see how fast they were exiting glad that I have a camera that I can adjust the shutter speed to take these pics.

After the race go to see the cars unclose, its funny that 2 weeks after the race these paddocks become cafe's and walking area for tourists and sell ice cream, crepe and soft drinks.

Lots of people flock to see the race, the gem is whats after the race its party crazy here at the clubs, yachts, yacht club and lounges

The IceMan is not to cold today, complaining to one about the race.

The Sound is music to my ears

Left Cannes at 8am and got me some ice cream for breakfast, quick dash of espresso and ice cream is the meal of choice prior to the race. Thankfully no traffic jams on the way and arrived at 9am

Beautiful Boat in the harbour

Cool Name for a Yacht

The Place is packed

The Quote of the day, "The Safety Car is out"

AMG petronas finished 1st and 4th place. One of the best races that I've attended.

I really want to drive down for the race next year. Was thinking of staying further up the coast in Roquebrune Cap Martin or Menton (if anyone else has any recommendations, feel free to share), as I'm guessing that accommodation in MC is either 20 times the price or already unavailable.

Google Maps tells me that Monaco is around 1100 miles and 16 hours away. I know it's not really the most efficient way of travel, but it's something that I've always wanted to do, and now that I've got a car I love, I can't think of a better option!

I spent a better part of my childhood in Menton, and you can even hear the engines from over there. It's certainly not far, and unless someone is willing to fork out the €30K for a suite overlooking the circuit at the Fairmont, actually staying in Monaco during the race is pretty overrated because you're just trapped when the town shuts down and can't go anywhere for days.

I know this is a car board but I would stay in Roquebrune / Menton and grab the super efficient 10 minute train ride in, rather than having to deal with the insane crowds. A decent bonus is the fact that those places are way more beautiful than Monaco, too

In related news, there's a good chance I may be driving down in mid/late July - anyone here gonna be around?
