Security Analysis

Ixxx is an Elite Unit - operating in the High Risk regions of the world, providing Security & Intelligence Service for Heads of State and Diplomats. Particularly within Central America, but also VIP security just about anywhere in the world.

As the world were watching, we were on the sideline as it was not our operation. French authorities are, just like the French people themselves, to put it in a nice way....arrogant and in addition... incompetent. Now it is not a "secret" to the few anymore. The whole world were following and could see it for themselves....

While the French Intelligence Service thought it was over after Charlie Hebdo, we predicted that there would be a part two, and sadly we were right...

Here is a small security analysis:

My LIST of QUESTIONS:

1. How come that the security measures in place at Charlie Hebdo, were so poor that they could not stop two armed men?

2. How on earth was it possible for the terrorists to escape after the attack on Charlie Hebdo, in the heart of Paris, and then remain at large for so many hours (two days)?

3. How come French intelligence did not know about these terrorists?

A. The terrorists were not properly monitored in advance.

B. They were on the "no-fly" list of people who are not allowed to travel to the United States.

C. US authorities had warned their French colleagues that this was dangerous people who should be monitored 24 hours a day, especially the older brother Saïd Kouachi, who had stayed in Yemen. His younger brother Cherif claimed that they were financed by and had been commissioned by Al-Qaeda Yemen to strike against Charlie Hebdo.

D. He was in 2008 sentenced to three years in prison for having for having been a member of an Islamist network that ran with the recruitment of people who would be sent to Iraq to fight against the United States on Al Qaeda's side. At trial he also emerged that he dreamed of attacking Jewish targets in France.

4. A 18-year-old landed in the spotlight of the French police as a possible third accomplice in the attack on Charlie Hebdo. But 18-year-old sitting in school when the attack happened. How can that error occur? I mean it is really surprising that the level is THAT low...

My list of FACTS:

1. Jihadists who is known as the "Buttes Chaumont", were convicted of participating in an act of terrorism in Iraq in 2005 and for having attempted to release terrorist sentenced Smaïn Ait Ali Belkacem in 2010. The network is also linked to the murder of two politicians Tunisia in 2013. Nevertheless, it appears that French intelligence has slacked off on the monitoring them....

2. The French government is under pressure to explain how the terrorists went under the radar. US officials have informed them that the terrorist brothers had been a US list of possible future terrorists. British intelligence also had the brothers on a similar list.

3. The elder brother have traveled to Yemen and received weapons training. There he met Anwar al-Awlaki, who before he was killed was regarded as a central figure in Al-Qaeda in Yemen.

4. Around 2003, the youngest brother organized for French foreign fighters to go to Iraq to fight for the leader Salim Benghalem, which later emerged to the Islamic state (IS).

5. Algerian intelligence warned French intelligence that an attack was imminent on January 6, the day before the attack on Charlie Hebdo.....

6. Around 2000 French foreign fighters have traveled to Syria and Iraq to fight for the terror organization Islamic state (IS),

7. The third terrorist Amedy Coulabily was in 2013 convicted of having been involved in plans to free Smaïn Ait Ali Belkacem from prison, the man behind the terrorist attack on the metro in Paris in 1995.

I AM CHARLIE

Charlie Hebdo and the Prophet Mohammed

This week's three million copies of Charlie Hebdo, the first post-attack issue of the French satirical weekly, will feature caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed.... The paper's distributors, MLP, had initially planned to print one million copies of the issue currently being put together by survivors of the shooting.

The special issue, to come out on Wednesday, will also be offered "in 16 languages" for readers around the world. With their headquarters still a crime scene, remaining staff are working out of the offices of daily newspaper Liberation with equipment loaned by the Le Monde daily and cash handed out by other French and even foreign media. With the attacks the magazine has become a national symbol of free speech. Huge crowds, including 1.5 million in Paris in the biggest rally in French history, took to the streets Sunday, many carrying signs saying: "Je suis Charlie".

And of course I will be one of the first to publish the caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed

You are partly right, he was Police Municipal. And that lead to this:

Municipal police should be better armed, says mayor of Nice

Mayor of Nice Christian Estrosi is calling on the government to give municipal police the right to carry automatic weapons and in some cases equip them with body armour, in light of the Paris attacks which left three officers dead. “As Chairman of the Advisory Board of Municipal Police, and mayor of Nice, I am very sensitive to the plight of those who risk their lives every day to keep us safe," said Estrosi in a statement.

Two police officers were killed in the Charlie Hebdo attack and another in a Paris street the following day. As a result, the mayor said he wrote to the interior minister and appealed for stronger measures to protect municipal police. "I have asked him to strengthen the arms of the municipal police by allowing them to carry automatic weapons... I also propose that public security officers be equipped with tear gas canisters," he added. In addition, the mayor requested that the government provide municipal police officers with body armour "in communities which can afford it".

Police officers Ahmed Merabet, 42, and Franck Brinsolaro, 49, were among 12 people killed by gunmen on Wednesday 9th January. Merabet was on patrol when he was shot at close range as the gunmen left the Charlie Hebdo offices, while Brinsolaro was the police bodyguard of Stépanie Charbonnier, the editor of the satirical magazine, and was present in the editorial room when the attack took place. 27-year-old policewoman Clarissa Jean-Philippe was also killed as she attended to a traffic accident in the Montrouge area of Paris a day later on 10th January. Unarmed and guiding traffic, she was gunned down by Amedy Coulibaly, who went on to murder four bystanders he had taken hostage at a kosher restaurant the following day.

"For terrorists, but also for common criminals, a police officer, whether municipal or national, is primarily a representative of the state and is therefore a special target," said the mayor of Nice, who is also the president of the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolis. "This is why we can no longer postpone the debate about the role of the municipal police in the Internal Security Forces."

"Merabet was on patrol when he was shot at close range" He was a hero and may he rest in peace

In my opinion:

With new wave of urban terrorism, something we experienced a couple of years ago, the police (including transit police) must have a complete trainning and a gun.

Theres no time to call the "armed response unit" during a terrorist attack, the officers must be armed.

About the rich guy with rubbish business... yeah right! Double morale authorities lol

French Riviera

The French Rivera. The truth.

Here in this thread you have all seen the nice automotive exotics & super yachts in Monaco, pop stars shopping in Nice, the beautiful supermodels - female movie stars at the Film Festival in Cannes and the azure blue water at the surrounding beaches of St.-Tropez. But under the surface, everything is quite different from what it appears to be....

The French Riviera is definitively not what it used to be. Follow this series, to learn about what is really going on....I call it ...."The French Rivera. The truth."

As mentioned here before, it is not only the Jews that are leaving the French Riviera.

Jewish citizens leave Riviera for Israel

The number of French Jews leaving the Côte d’Azur to emigrate to Israel is likely to increase significantly following the attack on a kosher supermarket in Paris, which left four people dead. It comes as Jewish schools and synagogues across the country are considered vulnerable to further terrorist attacks, despite a major boost in security. According to a new study by France’s Jewish Agency, 132 Jews left the Alpes Maritimes to emigrate to Israel in 2014, with a further 495 leaving Marseille. An Israeli law permits anyone with Jewish heritage to move to the country and language training and housing assistance are often provided for recent arrivals.

The motivation behind such a move varies, with many choosing to emigrate for religious reasons; however in recent times, particularly following the Paris terror attacks, concerns about security have been encouraging Jewish citizens to leave. Since Monday, over 4,700 police officers and security officials have been assigned to protect 717 Jewish schools across France, with synagogues also being watched.

“There is a growing feeling of insecurity and intolerance and it’s not just from these recent attacks. There are day-to-day attacks on the streets that do not make the headlines,” Yigal Palmor, spokesman for the Jewish Agency, told the Wall Street Journal. “All of this is presenting Israel as a good alternative.” The number of Jews who left France for Israel doubled last year from 3,500 in 2013 to 7,000. Before last week’s events it had been anticipated by the agency that this year’s figure would be in the region of 10,000, but this is now expected to rise.

During a speech at Paris’ Grande Synagogue on Sunday, French Prime Minister Manuel Valls declared that France would not be the same if there was a mass emigration. "If 100,000 Jews leave, France will no longer be France. The French Republic will be judged a failure,” he said.
