Anybody stayed at The Palazzo at the Venetian yet?

Going out to vegas in 2 weeks, and thought I might try this place. I've stayed at The Venetian before, and its just OK, but this seems like it is somewhat separate from the venetian. I've been staying at The Wynn for the last few years now. Wife likes the idea of Barneys being right downstairs, and Lambo LV is supposed to open a new dealer in the lobby, but dunno if that is open yet or not.

Anybody stay here yet?

Palazzo is nice, was there couple months ago - but I wasn't wow'd by it (jaded, perhaps). Very private/quiet, sort of like Four Seasons section of Mandalay... Personally, tho, I prefer the Four Seasons.

The Palazzo was very nice. Talked to the Concierge and they have only suites with the entry level only being $199.00 per night. I looked at one of them with the cleaning ladies help and man it was nice. Three large flat screen televisions,(LG's H.D.) and one even in the Bathroom so you can watch the stock market while shaving.. Very impressed with their quality of service and amenities. Restaraunts were nice but very pricey!! Gambling, I lost $5 skins there but made it back at Caesars and the Flamingo 2 fold.. I liked it, your call though, good luck and have fun... I did!!

Got back from palazzo last night after a 3 night stay. It was just OK. There is still a lot of areas that are still under construction. The rooms were nice, but really dark. Bathrooms were a little smallish and had crappy lighting. You would need a flashlight if you wanted to read a mag while you sat on the toilet. Pool area was smaller then at most other resorts, and the towels were like ones you'd find at a motel 6 pool. Also the hotel was full of riff-raff type clientele. I figured the guests would be the same ilk as you'd find at the the Wynn or Bellagio, but not so.

Bottom line is I'll go back to staying at The Wynn next time.

Too late to warn you Axxlrod, but for the others... The Bellagio or Wynn are the places to stay... don't bother with the rest.

Technically speaking, The Mansion is "THE" place to stay in vegas, but that'll set you back $5K per night.

For about $600-$1500 (depending on season and weekday/weekend), Skylofts at MGM are better than anything but the nicest villas at Wynn or Bellagio.

However, for "regular" hotel rooms, yes the Wynn and Bellagio take the cake in vegas. FYI, suites @ Wynn are much nicer and newer than suites @ Bellagio. The only exception to this rule are the Chairman and Presidential suites at Bellagio, which are amazing.

We had the Penthouse suite at the Bellagio, and it was a fantastic experience. Highly recommended!
