Went for some dim sum

888 in the SG Valley, way better than the China Town stuff, and the whatever nasty harbor place past San Vincente in Brentwood is inedible compares to this place.
We usually go there either Saturday morning or Sunday after the 9AM church service. The key is to get there before 11AM, otherwise, good luck getting seated, and they don't take reservation.
I am happy to arrange a TS Saturday morning Dim Sum meet like Kram and his Sushi meet if there's any interest.

IMO, neither is as good as the branches in Taiwan, stuff there just tastes better. Though when I mentioned this to the manager at the Tienmu one in Taiwan, he did not believe me, and insisted that they have strict control and that they should all taste the same.

Din Tai Fung has two branches in LA, both in Arcadia. They are pretty good.
