No, Tuuner was joking - he knows I genuinely hate Poland and everything eastern and/or third world.

The only thing I hate about Poland is the food and the strict catholics.

I've been many times, great country imo. The first time I was coming out of Russia, Poland was the promised land compared to that dump (it was a few years ago). I actually like Poland, good food, good drinks, and the women are hot. Love the black hair blue eyes thing

Zakopanie will be a first for me. My wife is from Poland, so she knows it well.

We've been thinking of buying a condo near the square in Krakow and renting it out most of the year. I love that town, the food, the girls. No sweat hogs walking around like over here, unless they are tourists from over here.

In my albums below is one of my favorite pix of the town - a little golf-cart like tour vehicle in Krakow - "Krak Tours". I'll say!

Last time we were there we rented an apartment near the square in Krakow. Thick doors, parquet floors, deep window casings. Very old school and tons of character. Thats the way to do it.

There is a famous restaurant there that has been in operation since 1364 (holy crap!) called Wierzynek. Good food and service.

And bar hopping in that area is just awesome, especially if you're an American that speaks some Polish. They love you!

Slack, where's that restaurant located? Is it in the squre area? Do you have an address? We'll be spending 4 nights at Andels which is a couple of blocks away from the old city. I'd love to check it out.
