Heading to Montreal for the weekend, need suggestions.
I am heading up to Montreal for the weekend with a few other people. No plans have been made yet (hotel, dinner reservations, nightlife, etc) so I am trying to get that all squared away now.
- Any recommendation for a nice hotel in the area?
- It looks like the best DJ in town will be DJ Uppercut @ Karma this weekend. Is this a decent club?
- Any recommendations of daytime events?
I have not been to Montreal but some of the other people going have.
Thanks!
- Bill

Hotel Novotel (sherbrooke east blvd) Its my favorite and in the heart of downtown.
Restos/Lounges/NiteClubs: BuonaNotte and Macaroni Bar (st-laurent blvd) My favorites
Buona (corner sherbrooke) is walking distance to many other decent places if you want to hop around...
Mac is further north on st-laurents (corner mount-royal), a little more isolated, but a great place to eat, chill, lounge.
Entertainment: Wanda's (de la montagne and maisonneuve)
Crescent street: worth a look at night. lots of noise and people at night. I think its a little boring personally but some people love it. A little young and immature (im 27). For milfs, go to Thursdays. There might be shit going on during the day too. Its usually always busy...Newtown on crescent corner maisonneuve owned by Ex-F1 champ Jaques villeneuve.
Shopping on St-catherines mostly, check out Holt Renfrew on sherbrooke for higher end stuff.
Old montreal/old port is fun during the day to chill have some icecream or whatever...
For best steak, go to Moishes (st-laurent) (reservations, and even then you have to wait, $$$) or queue de cheval (ReneLevesque)
Let me know what kind of budget you have for the trip and i can figure things out for you. Pm me if you want...
Youll have fun.

Thanks for the reply!
For the hotel I was thinking >$400 USD per night per couple since we won't be in the rooms much anyways (the hotel you listed is much less than that and looks nice)
For entertainment we will probably drop a few hundred each or more per night on food, going out etc. This should be a cheap trip compared to our recent Vegas vacation... HA!
Thanks again for the suggestions.
