Had some real Taiwanese hotpot
So while we were in Taiwan, we went to this hotpot place near my elementary school, which, when I went there, was the biggest elementary school in the world.
The dish with the upside down bowl had live shrimp still jumping around since they were fresh out of the tank.
Oysters, thin sliced beef and lamb, scallops, taro, and lots of other fish, meat, veggies, etc. This was just a moment in time shot before the table became completely full.

For that matter, food is just literally everywhere. I can't even describe or think of any equivalent areas in the U.S.
Had lots of fried chicken nuggets too. You can get pretty close imitations in the SG Valley, but they sure can't beat the real thing.
I just could never convince my WASP wife to use the Taiwanese dipping sauce. She can't get pass the mixing the raw egg with the Taiwanese BBQ sauce.
