Chuck,

I saw Masa this weekend in NYC....i was in the Time Warner building and i checked it out along with Per Say....both looked great....and the guy i was staying with this weekend (my best friends older bro) has been to both Masa and Per Say and loved em both - he also agreed that Masa was AMAZING sushi...and the quality of the fish was second to none.

Cool review...

Checked out Sebo last night. Wasn't satisfied with the service. I wanted to sit a table further from the door. They had a couple available. I called in advance to make reservations and they said they don't take any. So when I get there they tell me the table I want is reserved. They said I could wait for another one to open up soon so I don't have to sit in front of the door and draft. So I wait and eventually get seated at the table I wanted to begin with. Whatever.

The sushi was delicious, but the portions were small and spread too far a part. The place wasn't crowded, but I felt like the waitresses and servers were asleep.

Would I go back, perhaps. I wanted to sit at the bar, but it was full. I think that's were the VIPs sit.

I'll try to visit the Burlingame spot next week. Maybe I need to go with someone that knows what to order.

I'm going to check out Kobe Sake or something like that on Thursday in San Bruno. I guess the owner of Sebo trained this guy. Any body familiar with it?
