Will be trying this Sushi place in Taipei

This place came highly recommended. I was told the quality of fish is on par with Urzawa. Heh, it better be since they used to be almost as expensive as Urzawa before Urzawa raised their prices. And the average income in Taiwan is quite a bit lower, so 200 bucks should go a lot further.

i have heard this place is the best in tapei - and it would rival Urasawa
台北市松山區富錦街367號1F
02-27560755

i have no idea if this is the same place as the one you posted above - the characters don't seem to match but i have no idea what i'm looking at.

the above came from a girl i trust - who has been to the best places in Japan (which make Urasawa look second-rate by comparison.)

These are two different places, I will give both a try.

Taiwanese google turned up this:

鮨清田 - Yahoo!奇摩生活+

It seems to suggest this place is pretty good. Supposedly the fish is air freighted to Taiwan, which is much shorter than Japan to LAX.

This stuff looks promising, thanks Chuck!!!

np - just make sure you sit at the bar and not their tatami room. i'd definitely like to hear your impressions once you return.

Well, our boy never adjusted to the time change. And insisted on taking a nap every two hours, so we never made it there.

Bummer, since I got the address all mapped out for the taxi.

Hopefully next time.
