I'm going to Boston this Saturday with my girlfriends. I think many of you know the place by heart up here. Is there any good place to go? I'm looking to try out some Asian food this time. It would be a plus plus plus if there is a nice view there too.

 

Might be worthwhile to let us know your price range. I know some pretty good places in Chinatown, but they aren't exactly what I would call "high end".

 

On that note though, Blue Ginger in Wellesley is a great "asian fusion" place. Run by chef Ming Tsai. It's more of a high end place as well. It's about 20 minutes from Boston though.

 

Oh MY!!! I can tell you where you SHOULDN'T go: Anywhere near that cursed Fenway Park!!

 

lol, thanks guys. In this economic crisis, a little saving on food is always a good thing, but give me your list (both budget and high-end ones).

 

love blue ginger, it is high end but a treat and with the celeb chef cache its not something you can do in most towns

i also like Abe and Louies (i share an alley with the joint)


for slightly less high end if its a nice day stephanies is one of the more popular places (block down from my place)

I have also enjoyed The Cafeteria (two blocks down from my place)

Da Vinci

Osushi boston good for a light meal

No.9 Park for very high end

O Ya is suppose to be the best in town (i havent been yet) very high end

Prezza in the North End is good for high end

UpperCrust Pizza is good for low end (2.50 a slice)

Osushi has some decent views of the fairmont, but if you want Asian go to Blue Ginger or O Ya (again I havent been to this one myself)


for middle of the road chinese food go to Bernard's, it might be in a mall but dont let that fool you its very good food (ive gone there over 100 times since i moved to boston 3 years ago)

 

Where are you comming in from? Driving or taking the T? I live downtown and eat out a lot so feel free to bounce ideas off me via PM if you want.

Saturday may be difficult if you don't already have reservations. My suggestion at this point would be Elephant Walk in Brookline (there Loc Lac is fantastic!). Yelp is usually a good tool for finding places in Boston.
