China Travel?

I am studying abroad in China (Nanjing more specifically) and want to do some heavy traveling all around Asia.

Do any of you have suggestions for places to visit? Also, does anyone know good sites for cheap inter-Asia travel?

Been there. Inter-country flights aren't bad but if you are on a student budget you probably want to do the overnight train to get around. You'll need to know the local language to get around though.

Check out intrepid tours. They do a great job in China and the APJ region. I've traveled with them many times and will continue to use them in the future.

Thanks for the recommendations. I am going to have to check out the train system.

I am proficient in Mandarin, so the language

barrier should not be a problem.

What city/region in China, or Asia was your favorite, or "must see"?

That's a tough one. I would say it's between Xi'ian (for the food & TC warriors) and Beijing. Shanghai was up there on the list too.
