Kona Kampachi is yummy!

Anyone try this fish? I think its a great idea for the environment and it was delicious as sashimi. Nice and firm with a rich buttery finish. Very high fat content.

Kona Blue

kampachi is baby yellow tail. i prefer hamachi. i also prefer japanese varietals as the stuff raised in kona lives in warmer waters (less fat).

Agreed but the japanese stuff needs a chance to recover. Wild tuna in general is taking quite a hit so I think this is a good compromise.
