R.E.M. calls it a day
One of my favorite bands of all time. Also the first live concert I ever went to with my big brother. Beacon Theater in NY in the late 80's. Sad

Only a handful of bands have ever meant as much to me as REM.
I have all of their albums.
Their early material - Murmur through Dead Letter Office - is literally the soundtrack for my youth.
It is inspiring, unique music that has always stirred my soul.
All good things must come to an end I suppose.
I wish them all the best.
