Amos Lee Live At The House of Blues Anaheim - Videos
For those who don't know Amos Lee, you should check him out.
I have been following his career since the very start and am still astonished at what an amazing singer and songwriter he is.
Amos' music defies easy categorization. It is part folk, part country, part gospel, part blues and even a little rock and roll here and there. His songs, voice and style are completely unique. I believe that this inability to pigeon-hole Amos neatly into any musical category has hurt his radio play and thus his mass popularity. He should be one of the most popular and revered musicians in America today.
He is also a great person who really cares about people.
His new album - Mission Bell (4th studio effort) came out this week and immediately went to #1 on iTunes. It is his most mature and fully developed album. It fits in very well with his earlier work.
Last night, my family and I had a special opportunity to see Amos at the House of Blues in Anaheim. It was a passionate and engaging show.
The place was packed to the rafters - standing room only. We were lucky to get some VIP balcony seats. I have seen Amos twice now and this was a special show.
Here are some videos I shot with my iPhone. Not the best quality video or sound - obviously - but it gives you an idea of the man's talent and style.
Enjoy.
