Guitar to computer interface?

My wifey uses this Roland U.S. - FA-66: FireWire Audio Interface and this Apple - Logic Studio - Logic Pro 8 but I'm sure that they would work for your application as well. What no more drums?

I use my friend's M-Audio setup. I'll ask him what the model number is. I think I'm gonna get their JamLab thing though. It's pretty sweet.

Joo nevar resp0nded to mY pM n00b!!! I imagine that you have a closet full of old and worn mixing boards that you can part with...Im not looking for a handout cuz I said Id pay (or more to the point...beg my dad to front me).
I dont beleive he did make it over...I think someone ought to send him an invite, thanks for the link too cuz I forgot all about that site.
Thanks dude that sounds like just the thing I was looking for. The idea is to be able to play at my new living quarters without needing an amp so i can play like normal but just use my headset and then also have effects available.

The idea Im going for is just to eliminate the need for an amplifier for my guitar and record tracks stright to my pc then take the files to my parents house and record bass and rums tracks there using their setup.
