Mary J. Blige To Cover Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven"

To me, this is absolute and complete heresy.

Has the record industry lost it's mind?

In a word, yes.

Then again, the record industry has been a joke for close to the last decade, imo.

I saw this earlier today. I'm definitely not feeling good about this one, but the group working on this song is an all star team, but only individually. Hopefully this won't bomb.

"I think this song is not hard at all"

We will see Mary J. We will see.

I heard a clip from the recording session and it sucked.

It could be nothing but a total disaster.

Some songs you just stay away from. This is one of them.

That sounds horrible, why would she venture into this genre and F with a classic? It is just this generations R&B artists who are trying to find some way they can prove themselves and gain legendary status. While I do listen to rap, pretty much just Jay-Z, and have a lot of respect for his talent and sound; he, and none of his brethren will ever reach multi-generational epic status like LZ, Pink Floyd, etc. Marj, go cover a beatie boys song, I am off to listen to some Dire Staits to right myself.

I expected significantly more outrage than this.

Music has pretty much sucked for the last 25 years or so, who cares, there's only 1 Zepplin

Well this will be a giant fail. She ruined "One" earlier and I do not understand why just her will sing this song? She isn't that good a singer or star. Not at all her type of genre.
