I am not a "DJ", therefore I don't have vinyls however, I have plenty of mixes on CD from different artists. Jonathan Peters, Oakenfold, Junior Vasquez, Lawler, Danny Tenaglia, Tiesto, I could go on. I am a big fan of all house and trance music, but I dont know if that characterizes me as a true EDM fan.

I guess I was a bit vague in my interrogation. What I really meant to ask was how many of you support the electronic music scene? I had no intentions of coming across as a snob and accusing people of not being "true enthusiasts" because they don't buy vinyl. I'm not a "DJ" myself, I mix as a hobby and I just have a personal preference for vinyl. What I might add as a precision also to my point about quality is that sound quality imo plays a big part in productions. In that sense I prefer the techno scene since the majority of releases are much better produced and are actually mastered before being released. Too much half-assed electro crap goes for sale on digital webstores, hence another reason why I buy vinyl (acts as a quality filter since it's more expensive to actually press a 12" record). I'm a big fan of Lawler myself (mostly his older stuff).

I agree. Nothing beats hearing techno from a 12" or cd, most webstore stuff is crap.

I buy some CD in stores some on Itunes, listen the Perfecto podcast and Trance around the world weekly. Also use Itunes to Listen DI.fm almost all day.

I may not be a electronic music purist since I listen to all but mostly Rock and Electronic, and absolutely love when both clash.
