I know we have tons of techno experts on here, so I am putting the call out for suggestions. I am looking for techno music with a rock type sound to it.

So far, I have two favorites, Celldweller(really like him), and Remorse Code. Both have the types of sounds I am looking for, and the beats aren't to outrageous.

I am music hunting for my next video, and my partner and I really want to go another direction with our sound, moving away from the screaming rock, or poppy punk crap.

This will also give me examples I can show our resident music man, Knick. As I have spoken with him about possibly laying some music down whenever I can finally get substantial video together.

Celldweller http://www.purevolume.com/celldweller

Remorse Code http://www.myspace.com/remorsecode

And an example of a video I just did with one of celldwellers songs.....

oh boy... i'm gonna go slightly old school on you but some things that might really work - generally more aggressive electronic music, some w/ guitars, some not.

- Ministry - anything off of Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste, Land of Rape and Honey, and some Psalm 69. i think this is exactly what you're looking for. some examples:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2UA-7Q3ncU
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJWW2...eature=related
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RBKT...eature=related (not my favorite but most people love it)

- Front Line Assembly - Virus (very raw), Tactical Neural Implant (very slick), or Artifical Soldier (new technology). might be a tad too electronic for you. some examples:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8W6I...eature=related
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93HFV...eature=related

- KMFDM - very much techno-based w/ crunchy guitars throughout
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOc4-uxjOEc
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pz0TuTN6h6k

- Icon of Coil - has a more trancey feel
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MeaWY...eature=related

- Nitzer Ebb - That Total Age could be interesting
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_a73ZYRRUzk (has potential)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJS847sh9RU
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZueEQ...eature=related

- Unit :187 - has a very aggressive sound
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=git06Xbv93Y

- Laeather Strip
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghr96...eature=related

- Wumpscut
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KnED...eature=related

- 1000 Homo Djs version of Supernaut
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KoUuQ0Mi44

that should keep you busy for awhile... vocals may or may not be an issue...

- chuck

David Guetta is nasty!!!

Been a huge Trance/Vocal Trance head fr a long time.. Now as I have over 300 songs on my iphone, i'm realizing damn I don't love this stuff anymore, I have become infatuated with Progressive/Electronic House, Progressive Trance, Break Beat and more upbeat stuff..

Guetta is nasty, Marcus Schossow who i just saw last sat, Tiesto switches it up a lot now between styles of music in his Club Life sets, Above and Beyond and Armin van Buuren for my trance fixes, and of course Benny Benassi

Martin, Let me know what songs you workout to, your top 3 techno/house songs that help you pump out the last rep. I been listening to hard house music during my workouts and so far so good.

Grinding bones, sweat, blood infused swells get my last rep out lOL... Nah for real though, I don't listen to music when I lift, gets me unfocused for some reason and in my way with wires and shit, im basic!

I'll post up some sick house in a little bit, onto my 9th meal LOL!

This thread has me itchin to go see something fun live. Its been a while at least since I've gone to see someone with talent spin, besides just going out for drinks with friends. Buddy of mine at the office was talking about seeing Paul Van Dyk in sf this weekend so I was thinkin about it.

Guys I am not that familiar with the scene I try my best to get the best dance and club songs. This year I went to the benny benassi show at Palais in Cannes, I actually saw P diddy, Akon and Timbaland too.

I also went to Roger Sanchez and had fun.
