New acoustic guitar?

Hey,

so I need a new acoustic guitar.
At the moment I have this 40 year old handmade acoustic my grandpa gave to me, just a month before he passed away.

It really means alot to me, oh and it sounds amazing aswell.
But I want a second guitar and I'm not sure yet which one to get.
I really like Ovation Elite and some of the Taylor guitars.
My budget is around 1200$.
Just wanted to hear what you like/play at the moment.
Thanks for your help.

Most of my acoustics are Martins, I have a D-18, D-28 and a HD-28. They are all great guitars that will retain their value and may increase. I also have a Larrivee D03R, with is a lot like my D-28, solid rosewood back and sides and a solid spruce top, at about half the cost of a Martin. The Larrivee plays more like a Taylor, nice low comfortable action and a lot of guitar for the money.

I would say and yes I am very biased to try your best to get into a taylor.
My most recent acquisition is a sunburst 614CE and the playability is amazing, as smooth as my 59 Historic Les Paul.

If you cant afford a new one there a plenty of good taylor deals i see on ebay. Dont be afraid to buy a 4-5 year old one.

+1

It's a great time to be looking for an acoustic guitar. For $1200 you can get a lot of guitar, and a nice used Taylor off of eBay is your best bet.

If you add a zero to your budget, and multiply by about 1.5, I can hook you up . . .
