Anyway to cure rusted strings?

I usually just replace them, the 3 high strings usually rust first (and quickly). Is there something I can use to dissolve this gunky rusty crap off the strings??

The gunky rusty crap is copper oxide. The only way to avoid that is to clean your guitar after every time you play it. Basically you play, you sweat, the water reacts with the copper, you get copper oxide.

Just replace them. Strings are cheap.

Well then! I guess I have to replaced them. What do you use for cleaning just a rag?

Haha, I don't really clean my guitar as often as I probably should. When I do clean it, just a barely moist towel for the strings and the body-- and an oil for the fretboard.
