Fisker Reports Battery Issues Fixed

California's Fisker Automotive has officially confirmed that it has either fitted brand new battery packs or completed the necessary repairs to the hose clamp assembly to the 239 Karmas recalled last week. Fisker has contacted the remaining customers to schedule its replacement battery installation.

The Fisker Karma is powered by twin 201bhp electric motors and a 260bhp petrol engine/generator. The problem was linked to the fitting of the hose clamps to the 20kWh lithium ion battery pack, which is supplied by A123 Systems.

Henrik Fisker, CEO of Fisker Automotive said: “We decided that the immediate replacement of the battery pack in every vehicle was the right approach for all our customers.”

They do not have purple headlights- they're Bi-Xenon's and its just the camera angle.

We've replaced several Fisker batteries already.

Ironic, I just saw a Karma for the first time on the road here in PA 30 minutes ago. Was absolutely stunning in person.
