Feds lend Tesla $465 million to build electric car

Nice that they are investing the only electric car company that makes sports cars
I hope that money will be spent in developing new batteries, so that electric cars can be a real competitor. Recharging takes too long time and the batteries won't last for that many years.
Where I am right now (Guangzhou, China) the pollution is so thick I havn't seen the sky yet, and I've been here for 10 days now. Could be because 10 million people drive around constantly in old cars. Imagine if the city cars like taxis and busses would be all electric. I really don't mind having electric cars in the cities, and keeping the marvellous combustion engines for people living outside in the suburbs or smaller cities.
