Happy almost memorial day!!!

 

TL : DR - guy sells rifle, ships it to store for transfer to buyer. Store is unhappy, calls ATF. ATF calls guy stating he needed to go through a licensed dealer to send it, ends up agreeing to have the gun shipped back to the seller. ATF calls guy back shortly after saying they previously were incorrect, that he'd done everything by the book and that all was good.

Yeah, they totally almost ruined his life.

 

Lolz, seriously. Long live the gub'ment.

 

Somehow you missed the part about how the incompetent agent was trying to get him to admit guilt for something that was totally 100% above the board.

And then there's the part about the possibility of that nice agent sending some nice folks from the ATF to pick him up instead.

I am sure resolving either situation would have costed him 0 dollars and 0 cents, and do no damage to his reputation, or his job, I am sure.

Even someone as knowledgeable as him was starting to doubt himself because of that jerky incompetent agent's breathing down his neck, perhaps you ought to try being in those kind of awesome situation, because I am sure you'll handle it with no problems, and would not have had to call on some lawyer friends who happened to be an expert in this area and costed him nothing.

Oh, and lying to federal agent is a crime. Even if you tell them something that you thought was true that turned out to not be so. His reference to Kevin Mitnick was there for a reason.

Just say you hate that Americans can have guns, it's much easier.
