I prefer building my own, but if I were going to buy one out of the box, it'd probably be a Wilson or STI.

The latter, with machining to get everything where I want it. Last one I did for a friend was a Caspian Ti frame, Baer match slide, Wilson match barrel, STI running gear and some McCormic bits.

I made a mistake in my last post. Ed Brown technically builds 2 guns a government model and a commander model.

Ed builds a beautiful gun, i bought a Kobra carry last week and love it, bought a new Wilson CQB Elite today, full frame and its unreal.

Ed builds beautiful and functional guns. I keep on going back and forth between getting an Executive Elite or getting a Wilson. Not that I need another 1911...
