The AR-15 (build your own)

I've started to really like the AR-15, here in cali you can get a "legal" version pretty easy now without too many sacrifices. One of the biggest things is that you can have a "pinned mag" which is hugely better than the previous ways of having this gun legal. I'm not so sure I would bother with it though, I still want my 30rnd detachable mag but I guess I wont know till I get my own.

My friend just built one and I absolutely love shooting it. He recently got an eotech for it so I we can't wait to go back to the range to try it out.

One of my buddies sent me this website that you can virtually build your own.
LaRue Tactical Weapon Profiler - A CFuze Product.

I've been thinking of building one but they are still kinda pricey especially with the extras I want to have.
If you want, post up pics of yours! I was thinking about getting an eotech also and magpull grips and some other stuff...I'm kinda looking for ideas.

There is no better way to get an AR than to build it yourself. You'll save 25% at a minimum. I happen to have a LaRue upper, and I think it is the best gas impingement rig out there.

Yeah that seems to be the general consensus. Those LaRues seem pretty high end, I'll probably go with something more economic when I do buy one.

I'll see if I can post up some pics of the targets when I shoot my friends just for shi75 and giggles.

Dude, if you don't want to bite into something like a LaRue right now, get Stag parts. They are awesome, and they're actually the manufacturer for many of the large company's out there.

Yeah I think I remember hearing about that. I'll look into it when the time comes.

Got any pics of your baby?

What kind of additions do you have on yours (if any)?

I've got a bunch. Pretty much have anything you'd want to hang off of an AR. Foregrips, EOTechs, rail systems of varying lengths. Got uppers in every barrel length offered. So some are precision geared, some are more geared towards three gun match set ups.

I'm not a fan of blinged out AR's. The nice thing is the modularity, in that you can just bolt on what you need, when you need it. For you and just all round use, just get a good rail system, and EOTech, a foregrip, flashlight, and adjustable stock; thats all you'll really ever need.

Check calguns.net on some of the hassles people are having to deal with when it comes to OLL's.

Monster Man grip is probably a safer way to have an AR without being hassled.
