Need advice .223/5.56 bolt action rifle
Hey guys,
Im kinda interested in a bolt action 5.56/.223 rifle
I have shot and love the Remington model 700 and know its pretty accurate to about 600 yards, but I also wanted your input.
Any ideas?

If you're looking for a small caliber bolt-gun do something more exotic - .22-250, etc. There are tons of cool wildcat rounds in factory loads now.
If you're looking for a cheap plinker bolt gun, just do a .308 - tons of surplus out there, plus the caliber has much more punch than .223.
Finally, if none of that matters, buy the best Ruger 10/22 custom you can afford and shoot all day for $10.

I have a ruger m77 in .223 , fun little rifle. It is big enough where I live to take the small white tail that are around, but mainly it is used for popping ballons 100-120 yards out.
The accuracy with my cheap 4x scope is decent. The rifle probably shoots better than I can shoot it.
Some people rave about the m77, some are less impressed in reviews. I feel it shoots better than me and is a pretty looking rifle.
