  • Reasonable transfer fees. I know you're in the business of selling your own stock, but I try not to do business with dealers who would charge me a high transfer fee for something they don't even carry.

Yep. Just looking out for my fellow citizens who remain in Cali.
Got it.

As for the transfer fees, I never could understand why someone wouldnt want customers to COME into their shop. So some just do the transfer and walk, but how many will shop around, purchase other items? Seems silly to push customers away. Once we get our legs under us with all these crappy laws and document control we have to have in place, transfer away! And while your at it, might I interest you in a holster?

I didn't realize obtaining a CCW anywhere in CA was anything less than impossible. Good to know. What's involved to get one up in your neck of the woods?

I have to apply with Merced, give a good cause statement, take a ccw class, and should be issued. I live in a very rural area, long response times, so Ive heard its easier for me. Ill have my app in shortly.

Fresno is just about walk in and they hand them out.

Sacramento is almost considered easy as well. But I have heard San Joaquin county is now almost impossible due to the new law man in charge. From what I have heard, its a pay to play situation. Re-election contribution I hear its called...

A link for you..

Pretty solid for the state, if you stay away from the stinkng liberal areas.

What do you think of the instances where people have shot their leg when drawing from a Serpa? Each time I draw from mine my index finger is perfectly lined up on the frame.

FWIW after much testing the Marine Corps has decided to issue the Serpa, and one of our posters here used it in the sandbox (SoCal, maybe?).

Of all the times Ive drawn, I just dont see how you can do that? Every time I draw, my finger like yours lines up along the frame. You just are not doing it right if your finger is falling into the trigger guard. Even my wife, whos a noob at it, sees the instant advantage of it. She is getting quite good at keeping that finger out. I really like them, and would personally speaking recommend them to anyone.

I have never had a problem with my serpa holsters either.

Order ammunition so that it arrives before you run out. I needed some lightweight 454 ammo for my ccw renewal this Monday and it seems every store in town was out of it and had it on order.

We are going to do that...Your shortage might not be dealer issue, but manufacturer.

I hear that about 10mm as well.

I wont sell enough to be buying in bulk, and they sure will be.

Good to know. Not 100% sure how often people reload in the states, but just something that is always good to know you've thought about.
