Scope Eye!

Went shooting yesterday and shot a friend's .30-06. I hadn't shot a hunting rifle in YEARS, or anything other than assault rifles and handguns really. LOL! So I'm used to shooting with both eyes open and not a lot of kick. The rifle taught me an embarrassing lesson on the first shot.

PS, the remington m770 is a shit rifle. I was all happy because I thought this guy got an m700 but it is in NO WAY anything like it. The bolt was jamming on every shot and the bolt handle eventually BROKE OFF! It's a year old, he's gonna try to get remington to replace and then he'll sell that junk and get an m700.

Pics from the day, also in the POV thread:

My wife normally plucks that for me, it's been a while though.

I've wondered - why is there no muzzle brake on your rifle?

Haha! I don't know that I'm a noob, more like a born again hunting rifle virgin.

Striker, do you mean why don't I add one or why didn't it come with one? I haven't added one for the same reason it doesn't have a forward grip. I'm not in combat, it shoots fine and I'm literally too lazy to research and buy one right now.

Eh, I was just wondering why there wasn't one. Yours is the first I've seen without a muzzle brake, just looks odd.

Yeah, I got it cheap years ago. It was probably a cost savings thing.
