Gun safe question

Just starting to look at gun safes

So far it seems that the basics are obviously size and fire rating.

From there it seems that price goes up based on bling factors.

I want a good quality safe with a decent fire rating.

Any tips in selecting one?

I plan on getting a larger one than I currently need as the collection will grow.

I don't need bling but I want quality

Suggestions?

I might have to order one of those for my 1911.

Any suggestions for smaller bedside safes? I'm going to pull the trigger on one soon.

couldn't resist the pun

Brown, Graffunder among the best of the best. I have a Fort Knox. Certainly among the top tier as well. Don't get the special at the local Costco.

Nope, but there are a few rare occasions where I have to leave it at home. By rare, I mean I can't remember the last time I did that...no, actually, it was when I left for the GP but the wife had it in her custody then.

There are other firearms coming into the house in the very near future, hence my increased interest in picking up a safe.

If Matt at Brown Safe doesn't have what you need, I can help with smaller safes as I'm set up with Buddy Products, Phoenix Safe Company, and FireKing.
