Best Cleaning Solvents
Hey everyone, I was looking for some advice on which cleaning solvents people used for their guns. I am looking to clean both copper fouling and regular powder buildup on both a Mosin Nagant and a FN SCAR Mk 16. I currently uses Hoppes 9 but I have heard Sweets 7.62 is better but also degrades plastic (obviously not good for the SCAR). Any suggestions?

Corrosive ammo is corrosive because it deposits salt in the barrel, which retains moisture and holds it against the barrel causing corrosion.
Pour hot water down your barrel to dissolve and carry away the salt, run a patch to dry it out, and then clean & lube.

yes I know but I was wondering if the slip2000 neutralized the corrosive salts like hoppes 9. anyway Ill probably just stick with hoppes because it already says it gets rid of the salts on the bottle. Thanks for the advice though
