Gun coatings

I have a Remington 700 with a black synthetic stock and stainless barrell along with a Colt AR-15 M4 style. I was thinking of having one or both coated in fall camo for varmint/predator hunting this season. I can't seem to get a straight answer from gunsmiths, even my usual guy. Has anyone done this? Pros and cons?

Duracoat is a really popular coating, and a DIY coating. There are others,see these threads

That would be perfect since I even have an Eotech. Thanks and I will post up the results when I'm done!

If its just for this hunting season, you should just cover it with some camo tape Amazon.com: Gorilla Gear Leafy Camo Tape: Sports & Outdoors it will let you get great 3D camouflage without wasting money on a duracoat.
