Shot my 1st IPSC challenge!!
First off, Scott, Thank you for the post about 3x gun you put up a couple months back. I would of never thought to get involved if you had not posted that.
Ok! What a freaking blast that was. I have always been a static range shooter, never done a shoot on the move timed/scored event. After the required first time event training class of how not to shoot your fellow shooters or yourself (5 BORING hours worth) it was on to shooting.
The only stage us newbs got to shoot was a 24 round/24 target timed event. I shot it with 30 rounds, scored 23 out of 24 10 ring hits and placed 11th out of 32 shooters! I did it in 48 seconds, with two reloads on the run, since I didnt want my gun to go dry during a shoot. I shot it with my Beretta 92F.
What fun!

Also my first experience with tunnel vision. Very wierd, the range was super loud (obviously) but when that timer went off in my ear, I barely heard my own gun going off. Though it took 48 seconds for me to shoot the course, I swear it was more like 3 seconds. Much fun!

LOL I could only wish. 3 Gun must be just an amazing experience, considering how much that IPSC was.

And if you didn't risk getting hot brass and sunburn on your dong, I bet it would be even more fun when done naked!
Gives a whole new meaning to squeezing the bang switch.

It was just the 92, since its a pistol only course. I think ill try 2 gun later this spring, or at least attend a practice session. My goal is to try a full three gun by late this summer, get some practice time under my belt so I dont make a fool of myself!

I wish!!!!
Actually, they scolded me for to much time. The good guys were running under 30 seconds. I guess, from what I was told, I shouldnt worry so much about X ring and more on speed then accuracy.
I always had the impression tunnel vision was bad? Next match the wifey is coming along to record my shoot. Cant wait to see me run around like an idiot!
