Yes, now of course, I need to get an AK. I have tons of mags and ammo, but since I sold off the AK's when i gave up my FFL, now I want one again.

Anyone have one? Quality wise? I know they are durable as hell, and pretty much crap as far as quality, but I used to have Chinese, Hungarian and a Romanian, and they all were very different in build quality.

Thoughts?

Long time ago, back in the day when guns were legal in Cali.. my friends and I tore up a honda civic to SHREDS someone had pushed into a ravine. 6 of us with AK's, FAL's, and AR's, must of unloaded a 1000 rounds into it. I laugh when i see movies where the good guy hides behind his door to stop high powered rifle ammo...

If you're wanting to geek out and don't mind paying a bit of a righteous premium, Rifle Dynamics are your guys. You can either go and get yourself a cheapo Romanian, send it to them; or you can contact Jim and have him build it from the ground up. Although that will take longer. After that, I'd totally second Chris re: Arsenal. Totally righteous AK's are really good prices. These things are made in the actual Russian factor. Here is a link to probably the biggest provider of Arsenal in the States; and they happen to be in Vegas.

Subsequent to that, you would go wrong with a Polish AK, or even the cheap Romanians. You can get the Romanians for $450 all day last time I checked.
