My new toy

Went to the gun show yesterday with the intent of FINALLY finishing this AR-15. I bought a full built upper 6 or so years ago and its been sitting in the closet. Its a DPMS upper and lower, fairly standard collapsible buttstock, I replaced the grip with one that sucks less than the typical $3 one. Originally was gonna do a rear flip up but found a fairly decent, inexpensive red/green dot site. I got a folding front handgrip for it but as you can see the front handguard has no rail for it. That and a butt pad will be the last of it.

Finally, once I get it completely done I'm gonna have my marine buddy paint it similar to his which I'm shooting in the second pic.

Nice! Just add the rail to it for your front grip. Did it to my AR-15 and it only takes 15 minutes to do it.

Very true about the sickness... I picked up another AR last week. I already put an eotech on it and have a few more goodies planned.

My wife said the same thing about zombies. In fact my friends and I have a zombie apocalypse action plan. Grab all the ammo you can find, drive down the hill to costco. Its has limited entry/exit, food for years and is a likely meeting place for survivors.

Yep, I'm on the non-commie side. I think just about everything about that rifle is illegal. DPMS is on the banned list, it has a pistol grip, telescoping stock and hi-cap non fixed mag. Basically everything that CA hates about a gun.

If I end up moving to CA I'll probably sell/trade it for the most badass shotgun I can get for the money.
