Buying used police issued?

Local shop got a shipment of used police return g22's. Thinking of picking one up. They are asking around $350. Any concerns with something like this?

Hell no. Buy as many as you can!

Keep this in mind. Police weapons are rarely fired outside of training. A sad statement in regards to law enforcement training, but a sweet deal for gun buyers.

Also look out for law enforcement issued Sig's.

Around here, unless you're in the shop when a shipment arrives, these LE issued pieces get gone immediately.

While they rarely get used, they also rarely, if ever, get cleaned/maintained. Make sure you can break it down and check out the mechanicals before you buy.

SoCal is an unknown quantity at this point
It's a GLock. It is also the easiest weapon in the world to clean, and to shoot accurately. Buy 4, and send one to me in CA. Seriously.

Good for it. Glock does not = impervious to neglect. Are they probably in perfect working order? Yeah. Except for those pretty custom 1911's, most modern handguns can take quite a bit of abuse/neglect and still function. Doesn't mean he shouldn't check it out before laying down the $$.
