I'm not sold on the idea of buying a 5.7 upper for an AR15 when you could just get a PS90. This upper just seems like more of a novelty.

Its pointless since you cannot buy the better performance rounds as a civilian...might as well get a .22 magnum uppper...

So I'm looking at the ballistics for the 5.7x28mm round, and the best load that FN sells to civilians uses a 40gr bullet resulting in muzzle energy of 340 ft-lb (their law enforcement load is still less than 400 ft-lb). Compare this to a 62gr 5.56 NATO @ 1,303 ft-lb.

Buy your 5.7X28 ammo here: Home Elite Ammunition loads their ammo to specs that better realize the 5.7's potential.
The AR57 is a novelty in my mind. Rather have a PS90.....but if I'm grabbing for a rifle it'll be 5.56 or .308

The military 5.7 kicks ass though but yeah, like I said earlier, civilian load makes the price to play completely irrational.
