So I wanted to build a nice 1000 yard .308
I started with a Remington 700 SPS-V for the action and 26" heavy barrel. Then I purchased the components;
Accuracy International A.I.C.S. stock with a 10 round magazine
American Precision Arms "Fat Bastard" muzzle brake
Accu-Shot bipod with spigot
Accu-Shot monopod
M700 scope rail
Butt spacer kit
Trijicon TR23-2G scope / 5-20 x 50 Mil-Dot crosshair, green dot
The first thing I did was drop off the 700 and Fat Bastard with a gunsmith, then I painted the stock. The color I ordered was "Dark Earth", which in reality, looks like split pee soup.
I painted it desert tan; such an improvement.
I haven't shot it yet, let alone run the bore sight through it... very much looking forward to that, and will post some groups when I get out there in a couple of weeks.

Size comparison with my AR-15 fully extended, and Kimber .45

Very nice and clean setup.
Can you post a few through the scope pictures? I have buddy that is considering that scope, and we haven't been able to find a local dealer. All of the Accupoint reticule pictures we have seen are with the triangle chevron, none with the Mil-dot.
