Texas hog hunting info?

I went to a Ranch in Arkansas. My brother lives there.
I am not familiar with any in Texas.
Wish I could be more help!
Good luck with the trip.

A .45 sidearm is a great idea and I'd make sure you are near a climbable(not sure thats a word) tree. I could take you to a neighborhood about a mile from my parents house that runs wild with them once the sun goes down. I've been charged more times than I want to remember. You'll have fun though.

Brett,
That neighborhood is now full of houses and I don't think they'd like us running around with guns spotlighting all night hahaha. I'm gonna give a buddy a ring and see what he suggests. Its been a while since i've been on a dedicated hunt and I know he still does a decent amount of hog hunting.

the ranch is in southern oklahoma. there are hog hunting groups getting together all the time up there. i just talked to him and he said its been too wet to drive around the property, so they havent been able to hunt. take some pics of your kills!

My experience with hog hunting has been more of exterminating pigs b/c of how destructive they are. Having said that I'm not much for throat slitting. I'm not quite that blood thirsty.
I prefer spot lighting from a truck or hunting with a thermal scope.
As far as where to, East Tx has a huge problem with pigs. A buddy of mine has a 1000acre ranch in Longview with a ton of pigs.
