Looks like those guys aren't doing so hot w/ the mili contracts.
They didn't get the IAR and now this:

At least the DEA has picked them up...shame since they have a good product.

I hate to say it, but I'm not 100% surprised.
LWRC is a group of VERY solid guys, and they have committed to their customers, and it has absolutely hampered their ability to provide government contracts.
That said, there are reasons that LWRC would get overlooked in the contracting process for a military weapon. The most obvious of which is that they were not, nor would they be the lowest bidder. There are other entrenched players that do not like the crew at LWRC, the list does go on.
Understand that this has absolutely NOTHING to do with the quality of LWRC. They are the upstarts here and they have pee'd in the cheerios of people in military contracting circles who can have sway in the process.
Selling to the government is one of the more corrupt, sleazy markets ever. In fact, it is the largest, sleaziest market in the world. You literally, on a regular basis have to resort to subterfuge to win a deal. Ask me how I know. Fortunately, if you are a unique provider, you can take the low hanging fruit and do quite well.
But on defense deals like what LWRC was involved in, man.... I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
There is a lot to this particular story...
