Great if you're in room surrounded, and you're going down in flames. End it with the 'bump firing technique' LOL

So... what would be a good use of this "technique" in a real world application? Or is it just for fun?

If you are as good as the first guy, you can make mince meat of any bad guy that dare to pull a home invasion at night.

That would stop the threat for sure.

But I would consult with your attorney first, bump firing might be considered excessive force. Many municipalities have ordinances against self defense with class 3 type of machine gun...

Eh, full auto is WAAAAAAY overrated. I would only use it for suppression (i.e. break contact so I can run away). Aimed fire beats volume 6 days out of 7.

Having said that (for my Curb Your Enthusiasm fans), bump-firing is a fun way to blow off some rounds. Back in the day, I took my HK91 and my Glock 19 to Kentucky Shooting Area north of LA and bump-fired thousands of rounds. About an hour into it, the Sheriff's Deputy rolls up to "inspect" my gear. I had put a PSG-1 trigger group into my HK and set it to 1 pound. I let him try (I was doing it prone with a bipod and letting the gun's inertia do the work) - he was digging it.... With the Glock, I just hold it tight in my right hand and roll my finger in the trigger guard - 33-round mags disappear.

Man, I hope you still have that HK but 1 lb pull? Jesus, if you looked at that trigger, you'd be afraid it might go off.

I also agree that auto is overrated, but that still wouldn't stop me from getting a pack with 3 round bursts
