I have talked about this with the mrs, and we are going to do it. We also want to add baby Scuderia as well.

I seem to remember a while back there was a program where you could get a life membership for less than a grand, anyone got any hookup?

Thanks!

Thumbs up

NRA - Join the NRA - Bonus Offer

I think it still works. I signed up for 2 years for 25$ last month using this link.

Lifetime under this link should be only $500. Hope that is what your looking for, the site is definitely legit, although it may take a week or two before you get your member packet.

Congrats on the decision btw!!

Cool, I will give this a shot.

I have always wanted to join, but let's just say that the recent liberal "revival" in government was what I needed to get this done. The more member the NRA has the better in this environment.

Don't forget about Gun Owners of America. Unlike the NRA, they never compromise. You may receive a ton of fundraising mail from the NRA; there's a number you can call to cease this.

I am a bigger fan of GOA frankly. I get more spam emails from the NRA since I've been a member, than I do legislative news. Every day, a "new offer" from the NRA. And only once a month do I get the NRA magazine.

GOA is FAR better from a legislative perspective.

Brian,

You are not the first person who have said that about GOA vs NRA.

My question which have not been really answered with regards to one versus the other is this.

Is GOA big enough and powerful enough to be able to make a difference? We all know that NRA filed lawsuits the day after Heller and got a bunch of cities to change their anti 2A ways.

I have to confess that I have not heard or read the same type of action by GOA. Doesn't mean that they don't do it, just that I have rarely hear them in the media, conservative or liberal.

Brian is right about the spam. Don't give them your primary e-mail address. Between their own mailings and the fact that they seem to sell their mailing list to anyone who will buy it, you are going to get absolutely flooded with useless e-mails. Also, all of those "gifts" that they promise to send you for membership renewal, etc; they never seem to mail them.
I feel like I am more a member of an infomercial campaign than a than a pro 2nd amendment organization.

I actually received my "tactical light" from them!! It took months, but I was shocked when it arrived.

Tactical light sounds better than the cheap commemorative folding knife they are sending me, I mean if they send it to me.
