That was just the best way to start my day... Great video. Barrels of gasoline down range i gather? Its no wonder we are the greatest military power on the planet when our civilians can throw that kind of lead down range!

 

Actually there are some loaded charges down on the other end, with gas sitting on top of them... ask me how I know... Ever been to an airshow and seen a demonstration with something blowing up? Pearl Harbor re-enactment? My work. Did it for the Confederate Air Force and US Army Aviation Heritage Foundation. One of my proudest moments... I literally said Naval Air Station Atlanta on fire, and said fire got danger close to the Blue Angels. Which really, nearly ended in a fight with said Blue Angels crew chiefs.

The fire got MUCH worse, and I was literally hemmed in on three sides. The show was stopped and base fire crews rolled out, and snatched me up. What a walk back to the crowd line that was after the show! My dad was so proud... (a member of the same organization) But I told the base NOT to cut the grass, which they promptly did, and that dried grass took a liking to my charges... This pic was taken by one of the guys flying one of our little birds. (who by the way only minutes earlier was trying to get low enough to blow my hooch over and threw a water balloon at me from the cockpit).

That was a cool demonstration of firearm usage in the hands of people that have some time behind the butt stock indeed. Our military doctrine is actually quite similar in that country's who've subscribed to "Soviet Bloc" tactics typically use mass waves, be it human, armor, artillery, etc. Ours has typically been a very offensive defense that relies on accurate firing and over whelming fire power. Do while some of the rounds that we do throw down range may be, in some cases smaller, they are far more accurate, and more of them.

Did you know that many of the muzzles on AK's are designed so as to assist the muzzle blast will help the soldier in spraying fire while on the run? Look at the muzzles of some AK's, they look like a half moon.
