Surefire lights

I am looking to get my wife a tactical flashlight but am having a ton of difficulty figuring out which one would make the most sense for her. Something pocket size would be ideal.

Any recommendations from the Surefire product line?

Next question is, what would be a good home defense light from them? My guns all have lights already, I am looking for light only.

Thanks

For your wife, check out the E2D Executive Defender. Plenty bright and has a crenellated bezel so it can be used for striking to.

E2D Executive Defender® Self-Defense Flashlight from SureFire

For home defense, I have an M6 CB Guardian, also with crenellated bezel.

E2D Executive Defender® Self-Defense Flashlight from SureFire

I recently picked up the even brighter LED version of that light - E2D LED Defender® - E2DL-BK available from SureFire
I highly recommend it.

Surefire are some of the best lights out there, but there are several other makers that are just as good but cheaper than Surefire. One example, would be Fenix lights that have other functions such as SOS and strobe to help disorient the attacker (not sure if that really works) that Surefire does not.

If you are certain you want to go with Surefire, then the E2D LED Defender is a good choice.

I think I will order one of those for myself. How sharp are the ends on it? I don't care personally, but am a bit worried if it's to sharp that she will never carry it with her.

Is it uncomfortable at all?

If you hit someone with it, the ends would definitely rip into the skin pretty good, but to the touch, they aren't that sharp.

I love my Surefire E2L Outdoorsman. I picked mine up at LA Police Gear. I have always had good service from them - nice prices too.

Not enough good things to say about Surefires. I have an original 6P on my nightstand, an E2E in my kit, another E2E in my everyday bag, and a 9P in my car. They are 100% dependable, easy on batteries, and provide tons of illum.
