Finally got to pick up my Sig 556 SWAT today. I'll try to post some pics tonight. While I was there, I picked up 3 more lowers. One POF 416 and two Rock Rivers. Now I just need to figure out what to build. I think I want to do 1 in 6.5 Grendel. Any other suggestions?

6.5 Grendel is a nice choice...you can always follow the 6.8 spc movement

I keep reading that 6.5 is a better performing round. Guess I can do one of each.

I was debating a 6.5 until i researched on how inconvenient it is to obtain ammo. Alexander Arms has pretty much strangled the availability of other companies to supply the ammo that they might have shot themselves in the foot with that move.

I wouldn't be surprised to see 6.5 become obsolete in the near future.

Well definitely at the commercial level; however, it has done very well in competitive shooting circles (so it may become a specialty for the reloading crowd)

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'm going to look at the 6.8 more closely.

Here are a few pics of the Sig:

Has anyone noticed some of the green SWAT models come with a different light?
