My Pagani Huayra: from Build to Delivery
#32
Thank You!
Every Pagani is bespoke to the owner. They are very good about working with the customer to make sure they get their dream configuation. In the past quite a few Zonda's received a custom name to go with the custom build - sometimes the initials of the owner, some a unique "1 of 1" name, etc. I requested a few custom changes to my Huayra and my request for a custom name was the first that has been approved by Horacio. I will explain in greater detail with visual aids when the car arrives. Thanks!!
Have you seen the 760RS in person? I know it is in Argentina - that is one of my all time favorite cars!

The chances of seeing a Pagani in Argentina are lower than those of seeing a Unicorn. :-)

ZondaUFO, congrats. Not sure if you've been following the Zonda thread on PistonHeads but I am on a similar journey right now although it hasn't been as pleasant as yours.
I've been looking up and down for a used Zonda and then upgrading it to 760 spec but it's been frustrating so far. Besides having to deal with import issues (I live and work in NYC now), I am not sure if the factory can even do the conversions that I want (coupe to roadster, right hand drive to left).
Anyways, I hope you enjoy your Pagani for a long time - maybe you can bring the car up to Manhattan one day and hopefully we can drive our Pagani's together!

I was at the factory on June 6th so may possibly have seen your car ?
From memory there was two Huayra's being built that were in a similar state to yours but they were both in the far end of the building where I was not allowed. I remember most of the Huayra's inside the factory so I'll keep quiet for now just incase!!
Congratulations on the Huayra!

In late July / early August I will be taking delivery of my favorite Hyper Car! It is especially exciting to me because for many years I thought that I would never be able to legally register and drive one in the United States. If Ferrari is the Horse, and Lamborghini is the Bull, IMO Pagani is the Unicorn.
My car is the first special edition "one-off" Pagani Huayra that has been made and it will be delivered to me through Prestige Imports in Miami, FL. The entire process has been absolutely amazing. I can confirm through this experience that Pagani Automobili and Prestige Imports both treat their customers like family.
My instagram username is : @LamborghiniKS - that is the only social media site that I am on. I went with ZondaUFO as my username on here to mix it up. Lamborghini and Pagani are my two favorite brands.
I look forward to getting to know all of you and sharing our mutual passion for cars!
With Best,
Kris

I would love it if you wrote more about the ordering process and which people you dealt with at the factory.
I know Mr Pagani, Davide Testi, Luca Venturi and Alberto Giovanelli very well from my visits and contacts with the company since the early 00s.
Im very sure they treated you amazingly, but it would be a thrill for the others to read and experience the difference in ordering a pagani vs lets say a run of the mill supercar.
PPS
Since you said that your car will be the 4th, and i read that the one i posted above is going to the US, i thought it might be yous, as it seems to be further along the process of building, or more or less complete.
Once again congrats

The experience has been amazing. Everyone at Pagani has been very helpful - they've done everything possible to find solutions to all of my crazy requests! They're very nice people and it's an honor to get to know and work with them on my dream. I will post more specific examples after the car comes in. It will also be easier to get into details when I am writing from a computer instead of thumb typing on an iPhone like I am now.
Thanks Again!!
P.S. My Huayra doesn't have a special wing or custom exterior body work and it won't have 850hp. It is not that rumored Nurburgring edition that I've been reading about either.
That brown car can't be going to the US simply because its not a US spec car. All US/Canada Huayras will have orange/red side markers, and there're two US spec cars being built along with Kris's car - CF/purple and matte kermit green. Not sure if they'll be delivered before or after Kris's car and if their destination is the US or Canada.
Ciao my friend!
How are you? I was at the factory around a month ago and I spoke a lot with Davide about your passion for the brand. I'm really happy to see that something is finally arriving. I guess a lot of carbon fiber and red to match the calipers. Can't wait to see the final result.
Are you coming to the Vanishing Point this year?

Davide is a great guy! I can't wait to share the the car with everyone! It won't look like a special edition on the exterior but it does have a few unique features.
I wish I could make Vanishing Point this year. Since my car hasn't been delivered yet, putting that many miles on it would make it a used car and could cause issues when it is imported to the USA. I hope to attend every year from here out.
Hey Kris, always great to see a collector who is an enthusiast first. Some people seem to collect as though it's an investment first and then a hobby, but from what I've seen, you geek out over these cars as hard as anyone and your genuine excitement for these cars is much appreciated.
Can't wait to see the finished Huayra!
(Great name by the way!)

Thanks a lot! I appreciate your response, very interesting. Looking forwards to know more about your car, this will be a great thread.

Congratulations! First special edition "one-off" Pagani Huayra - That sounds Awesome ! Will you share here details of spec, ahead of you will get it ? Been some special technic and construction details, or mostly customizing in boby- and interior- finishing and triming ?
Thank You!

Update: I received more photos and my VIN number today. I cannot post anymore pics because the car is so close to completion that it would give away the entire build even though it isn't entirely together in the photos.
I can also confirm that the car has a special name but it is not named after me or my initials.
Its getting close! Thanks Everyone!
