First official photos of the DoniRosset Amoritz GT DR7, the Brazilian Supercar
Original article from WCF:
The latest development photos of Brazil's premiere supercar have been released. Back in 2010, we showed you initial design sketches of the vehicle called the Amoritz GT DR7, but since the name has changed to DoniRosset.
The idea was born from entrepreneur William Denis Rosset who wanted to build a unique supercar as a gift for his father Donino Rosset (aka Doni). Upon meeting with Brazilian designer, Fernando Morita, owner of Amoritz GT, development started in 2008.
Strongly resembling the profile of the Lamborghini Gallardo, the DoniRosset has been specified with an ethanol converted 8.4-liter V10 from the Dodge Viper with twin-turbochargers producing an estimated 1007 HP with a Mendeola six-speed sequential transmission.
Interior layout follows the McLaren F1 with its central driving position flanked by two passengers. The car is 4.7 meters long an 2 meters wide. Other design features include LED lights and five centrally positioned exhaust pipes.
A full-size clay model was presented by William Rosset to friends who quickly in turn placed deposits. With a price tag of $1 million, the vehicle that was intended to be a one-off has now become a business with the hopes of producing 50 units with the help of potential new investors.
At this point we caution all prospective investors as unconfirmed rumors of upstart supercar companies have turned out to be scams. That is not to say the DoniRosset (aka Amoritz GT DR7) pictured is not a genuine venture, but simply - buyer beware.

That's the difficulty of entering in the supercar world. How many supercars like this still being renderings or early prototypes? A very looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong list.

Exactly. I mean, I guess you have to start somewhere but I know I'm not the only one getting sick of seeing a press release just about every week about a new start-up supercar company that is based entirely around a sketch or rendering and a dream. Show me a running prototype that actually matches the performance and packaging claims and I'll be impressed.
