Lotus wants to enter the hyper-car ring...
Lotus has decided to build a new hyper-car to be compete with the upcoming new ferrari F70 , Mclaren P12, and the porsche 918.
It might be Midengine, V8 and 780 hp AMT or DCT gearbox. The Car will be super light wight and limit for 20 to 40 cars. The Car will be shown at the 2014 Geneva motorshow.

Lotus three weeks ago didn't have money to build an Exige (due to the buyout), last week the whole company is for sale, this week they will be building a superhypercar? Bahar get your ducks in a row and quit with fancy press releases. Show me an Esprit in 12 months and not $100 t-shirts and maybe I will believe you. This from a die hard Lotus guy.

Seriously, make the Exige S & Roadster. Then actually build the new Esprit you've been banging on about for years.
Then, and only then, should you even consider a hypercar.
