World's first peak at the ADV.1 Bugatti Veyron wheels
#12
What's up guys, glad to see you're all as excited as we are to finally see this project come to fruition : ) Anyone can make wheels that "fit" a Veyron but to make wheels that can be driven on a Veyron is a different story...The Veyron is extremely well protected in terms of any modifications, especially the wheels & tires which I would imagine is due to liability reasons. A vehicle capable of such speeds really shouldn't be tampered with.
I can respect and appreciate Bugatti's efforts to control this, if they didn't we'd have Veyron's all over the world crashing from a tire blowout or wheel failure which could cost people their lives.
Anyways long story short, the oem tires are made specifically for the oem wheels which cannot be dismounted from eachother without destroying the tires and cannot be mounted without a special system found in only 4 Bugatti's service locations throughout the world. You can't change the tires, tpms sensors, wheels, or even think about doing so unless they do it for you and the cost of doing so is....Alot, like $40k alot from what I've been told. So how did we get around this? Obviously that's a secret but for those Veyron owners who don't plan on doing 253 mph runs to the supermarket and who want to run an aftermarket wheel setup without being arrested by the Veyron police, here's their answer

You say yours wheels can stand the 250+ mph of a standard Veyron, but the tyres you have available are only rated to 210mph. If that is the case how have you managed to test your wheel at 250mph?
Second if I am not mistaken the tyres on the Veyron are a completely custom sizing, if that is the case who is supplying your tyres?
And last but not least how are you getting around the potential public liability nightmare in supplying a wheel and tyre package not suited to the capabilities of the car? It only takes one idiot to have one of your tyres or wheels let go at 212mph for you to end up being dragged through court, and believe me they could do this....
PS I forgot to add that fitting any non standand item like this to your Veyron will invalidate your warrentee

So essentially what you're saying is aftermarket wheels on a Veyron = Veyron RUINED!!
