Alfa Romeo Disco Volante Concept by Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera teased ahead Geneva debut

Touring Superleggera, the coachbuilders based in Milan, will show the new Alfa Romeo Disco Volante Concept at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. This concept car based on the 8C Competizione chassis will be super-aerodinamic, becouse it was built to honor the 1952 Alfa Romeo C52 for its 60th anniversary.

The Alfa Romeo C52 was known for being super-aerodynamic, boasting a ridiculous drag coefficient of just .25. The C52, built in 1952 and nicknamed Disco Volante won many admirers in its time.

As I say before, the 2012 Disco Volante Concept will continue Touring's work building on Alfa Romeo models and this one is no different. It will be based on the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione supercar and its Maserati-sourced 4.7-liter V8 engine rated at 450hp.
